SWITCH team met 7-9th June in Bucharest, Romania where an overview of the project and several technical / management activities were presented and discussed. All SWITCH workpackages were presented, presenting mainly SIDE, DRIP and ASAP current state and future work. Also, the consortium decided when the next meeting in Ljubljana will be.
At Bucharest TechWeek subjects concerning the SWITCH Project and Cloud communication solutions were disseminated. From 23 to 29 May Bucharest have hosted over 40 events, conferences, meeting and even two exhibitions with innovative solutions for businesses. The main theme focused on innovation, tech in marketing, IT solution for companies and developers.
The SWITCH project was disseminated at the 5th Danube Financing Dialogue held in Bratislava and hosted by the National Bank of Slovakia. The main issue discussed was the financing projects in the Danube Region, and it was an opportunity of meeting between projects promoters and financing institutions. The SWITCH project was disseminated at ‘Return on Innovation through Interregional Entrepreneurial Ecosystems’: this event is part of the project eDigiregion funded by the European Commission.
The meeting “ICT COST Action IC1406 High-Performance Modelling and Simulation for Big Data Applications (cHiPSet)” was held in Dublin on 25-26 April 2016. The SWITCH project was presented and some of the main themes were Big Data, High performance computing and Dynamic Systems.
